Bollywood actor Bobby Deol has made an interesting revelation about his dangerous villain role in the blockbuster film Animal, explaining how he actually got the role.
In a recent interview, Bobby Deol said that the film’s director contacted him after seeing one of his photos.
According to Bobby Deol, the director said that the expressions in that photo were exactly what he had imagined for the character.
The actor revealed that the photo was taken during the Celebrity Cricket League, and it was this image that led to his entry into the film.
Bobby Deol shared that he was initially unsure about taking on the role because his character in the film had no dialogues.
He said that when Sandeep told him the character would be mute, he thought that his voice was his biggest strength, but he still accepted the role.
He added that to prepare for the character, he learned sign language and worked extensively on his body expressions. Before shooting began, he had to wait for about one and a half years.
Bobby Deol also revealed that his father Dharmendra’s reaction after the film’s release was quite interesting. He asked in surprise, “Are you really a villain?” Bobby replied, “Yes dad, but it’s a very good role.”
The actor further shared that after the film’s success and the overwhelming popularity from fans, Dharmendra affectionately started calling him “Lord Bobby.”
