He Gave His Life to Save His Pet Dog

You may have heard many stories about the loyalty of dogs, who never hesitate to risk their lives for their owners. However, it is rare to hear of someone giving their own life to save their pet dog. Pablo Fisc was one such person.

Pablo Fisc, who held dual nationality of France and Mexico, jumped into a boiling hot spring to save the life of his pet dog, Sasha.

Pablo loved dogs deeply. In September 2017, after a devastating earthquake in Mexico City that killed hundreds of people, he found a black-and-white dog near the rubble of a collapsed building and adopted it.

Pablo’s sister, Sofia Fisc, said that giving one’s life for a pet is an unbelievable act.

Sofia, who lives in Paris, explained that her brother loved his dogs like his own children, and he did for his dog exactly what he would have done for her or any human being.

Fisc and Ramos were hiking with their three pet dogs in the mountainous region of Michoacán, in western Mexico. During the hike, his dog Sasha fell into a deep ravine where there was a boiling water spring. Pablo jumped in to save him.

Ramos said that Sasha died on the spot, while Fisc was severely injured. He carried Pablo on his back for 40 minutes in search of an ambulance.

Sofia said the spring was releasing boiling water, and about 70% of Pablo’s body was burned. He was admitted to a hospital in Mexico City.

His wounds worsened, and doctors decided to perform surgery, which required blood. His family and friends launched a blood donation campaign. Sadly, Pablo passed away a day before his first surgery.

Sofia added that she spoke to her brother only once on the phone while he was in the hospital. He was very saddened and kept saying that despite his efforts, he could not save his beloved dog.
