In a closed-door statement recorded before a U.S. Congressional oversight committee, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates admitted that he had relationships with three women and revealed that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was aware of two of those relationships.
According to Gates, Epstein knew about his relationships with Russian bridge player Mila Antonova and nuclear scientist Karima Nigmatulina. Gates also acknowledged having a relationship with businesswoman Alice Jacobs Nieselrodt.
Gates stated that these relationships were unrelated to his meetings with Epstein. However, he claimed that Epstein attempted to use this information, along with certain false allegations, to persuade him to resume contact.
“He never directly blackmailed me,” Gates said, “but some of the emails that later surfaced suggest he may have been considering it.”
The Microsoft founder strongly denied any involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities. He explained that his meetings with Epstein were primarily focused on philanthropic initiatives and discussions about potential donors.
According to Gates, he met with Epstein approximately 12 to 14 times over a four-year period and also participated in two video calls with him.
International media reports indicate that committee members also questioned Gates about allegations related to a supposed sexually transmitted disease. Gates firmly rejected those claims, stating that he had never suffered from such a condition and had never secretly provided medication to anyone.
Meanwhile, the Gates Foundation has announced an independent external review of its past connections with Epstein.
