The Israeli military has issued evacuation orders for seven villages in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, while vowing to respond to what it described as Hezbollah’s violations of the ceasefire agreement announced between the two sides.
According to the Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesperson, the evacuation order was announced through the X platform and applies to the villages of Mefdoun, Choukine, Zebdine, Jdeidet Ansar, Zrariyeh, Mazraat Kouthariyet El Rouz, and Machghara.
On Saturday, the Israeli military stated that several projectiles were fired from Lebanon toward northern Israel. According to the army, most of the projectiles were intercepted, while one landed in the area of Kiryat Shmona.
In a statement shared on social media, the military said, “Several projectiles launched from Lebanon toward Israeli territory were detected. Most of them were intercepted, and one projectile reportedly landed in the Kiryat Shmona area. No injuries were reported as a result.”
Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced that it had launched a series of attacks on Friday targeting Israeli soldiers, security positions, and military camps in northern Israel.
The latest exchange of fire highlights the continuing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border despite ongoing efforts to maintain a ceasefire and prevent a broader regional escalation.
