Sacramento: In the United States, a dog demonstrated extraordinary loyalty by saving its owner’s life.
In the state of California, the dog and its 53-year-old owner were hiking near the Tahoe National Forest when the man fell 70 feet from a height, breaking his ribs and other bones.
Due to the lack of mobile service in the forest, he was unable to immediately contact anyone for help. Injured, he had to make his way to a location where there was a mobile signal, which took him an entire day.
Once he found a signal, he informed rescue authorities about his condition. A 25-member rescue team then began searching for the elderly man in the forest.
According to a Facebook post, the dog named Saul found two members of the rescue team and led them directly to his owner.
Following Saul, the rescue team reached the injured man, who had taken shelter under a makeshift tarp.
Sergeant Dennis Haack from the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue said, “At first, we couldn’t believe it—it felt like something out of a movie.”
