As part of ongoing investigations into notorious U.S. financier Jeffrey Epstein, the U.S. Department of Justice has released some new documents, which also mention allegations related to Trump.
According to media reports, these documents were not included in the initially released Epstein files and were later found to have been mistakenly classified as “duplicates,” which prevented them from being made public.
The Department of Justice has now released these missing files online. The documents include summaries and notes from three interviews conducted by the FBI with a woman.
The woman alleges that she was sexually assaulted by Epstein when she was 13 years old. She claims the incident occurred around 1984 on Hilton Head Island.
According to the woman, she was also allegedly assaulted by a few other individuals, and she has named Trump among them. However, the former U.S. president has consistently and strongly denied these allegations.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt has dismissed these claims as baseless and unreliable, stating that no concrete evidence exists in support of them.
The Department of Justice has also noted that some claims in the Epstein files are unverified and may contain false or misleading information.
It is worth noting that these files were released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Donald Trump signed into law last year. Under this law, the government was required to make several documents related to Epstein public.
